Photographer, curator, exhibitioner and Founder of Mastooraat Organization. She is the youngest among 10 first winner of the Hypatia international award which reward to the
commitment in the field of Research, art and professions in 2021.
Her work tells powerful stories of identity and femininity and the stories of women of Afghanistan. Although color and passion are the main drivers of her success in her artwork, she specializes in Staged photography and mostly women are in the center of her focus.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Photography from University of Tehran after her first bachelor in Industrial engineering. She Taught at the Art Faculty of Kabul University from 2018-2019. Fatimah has worked and advocated on Women and refugee rights on national and international platforms through the ambassadorship for UNHCR and UNESCO. Fatimah worked on various stories from Afghanistan to Europe as a photo reporter for Guardian, TIME, Vogue, outriders and many more. Due to her passion and admiration of arts, Her work has been featured and displayed in group exhibitions and art festivals all around the world, recently in La Gacilly, the biggest outdoor photo festival in France. Additionally, Fatimah’s works and articles have been printed and featured many times in local and transnational publications like Vogue France, Vogue Italy, Bazar Italia, Guardian,BBC, New York times and extra.
