Afghanistan is a historical country with a rich culture. It has been a connecting point of major civilizations in the history of the world. Each province of Afghanistan has a certain definition of the dress and physiognomy of its people. This reflects the geographical transformation, the social and political identity of groups and individuals. Fatimah Hossaini here speaks about the plurality of the female body. Like a silent revolt but with unwavering strength, Fatimah captures images of women from different cultures and traditions in their traditional outfits.

Fatimah Hossaini, artist photographer and Afghan activist, shows through her photographs portraits of Afghan women from different cultures and traditions in Iran, Afghanistan and France. The beauty, power and resilience of these women are at the heart of the artist’s work. Fatimah Hossaini here speaks about the plurality of the female body.
